The unseeded Slovakia girls team lost in the junior Fed Cup final to USA 0-3 but for tennis in Slovakia it's a great success. Tamara Kupkova from TC EMPIRE Trnava & EMPIRE Tennis Academy was the member of this team and when she returned from Mexico, she was at a press conference in Bratislava to describe how she feels about silver medal.
Viktor Banczi was participating after his success and win in doubles at the Jugend Cup at another international tournament, this time in Budapest. The member of the EMPIRE Tennis Club played at the Hungaro Casing Cup and has lost in the singles final.
Jan Satral of the Czech Republic is the winner of the EMPIRE Futures Trnava 2014 (clay, outdoor, prize money 10,000 USD) tournament which was taking place at the TC EMPIRE Trnava from 03 August to 10 August 2014. He has won his final match against Vaclav Safranek (CZE) 6-4, 7-6 (5). Jan Satral is doubles champion, too, partnering Jakub Filipsky of the Czech Republic.
Our young players have been successful once again. U12 boys team was in the final of the Slovak Team Championship in the town of Presov. U18 boys team has fought for the bronze medals in Bratislava, it has ended in fourth place. U12 girls team has a title along with our U14 boys & girls teams and U18 girls can enjoy silver medals from Piestany.
The EMPIRE Futures Trnava tournament is going to take place from 3rd to 10th August at the TC EMPIRE Trnava tennis centre. Like in the last year, there are interesting names in the main draw. On the acceptance list, you can find the names of Karol Beck and Ivo Klec of Slovakia.
