Last year TC EMPIRE Trnava decided for the first time to organize international women's indoor tournament under the name EMPIRE Women's Indoor. This year, tournament also has its' place in the calendar and will be played between sixth and fourteenth of February 2016, with total prize money of 10 000 USD.

Main draw of 32 singles players consists of several well known names as well as talented Slovakian players. Furthermore, 48 more will have a chance to qualify. Tournament will be played indoor in the EMPIRE**** hotel on the hard courts Plexipave Plexicushion Prestige, also used at the very famous grandslam Australian Open in Melbourne.

Talented Slovakian players have great opportunity to compete against foreign players and for some of them, it will be a good chance to fight for their first WTA points. "We went for the dates considering the tournaments around us, to have good players in Trnava and we have been pretty successful," said tournament's general director and TC EMPIRE manager Oto Majba.

Hungarian Fed Cup player Reca-Luca Jani (N. 230 in the WTA rankings) will be number one seed, last year's finalist, but also number of talented Slovakian players. Rebecca Sramkova, Tereza Mihalikova - junior Australian Open 2015 winner, Kristina Schmiedlova, Chantal Skamlova, Viktoria Kuzmova and daughter of Marian Vajda Natalia will not miss the chance to compete in Trnava.

Players from the home club TC EMPIRE will also join the event, including Lenka Jurikova, Vivien Juhaszova, Tamara Kupkova, Timea Pavlickova or Russian Anna Blinkova – one of the best world junior players, training in the EMPIRE Tennis Academy.

Qualifying matches are scheduled at 10.00 am, main draw matches should start at 11:00 am. Dunlop Fort All Court (type 2) will be the official ball of the event. "All the fans from Trnava and the surrounding areas are welcome in our club from 6th February in TC EMPIRE Trnava.
