The member of the EMPIRE Tennis Academy Anna Laguza, who is coached by Vladimir Platenik, played the U14 Realsport Open tournament in Milovice, Czech Republic.
Anna Laguza was at the category 2 tournament No. 1 seeded and she has confirmed this position. She beat Kryslova in the first round 6-3, 6-2, Zizkova in the second 6-2, 6-0 and the Slovak player Katarina Kuzmova in the quarterfinal: 7-6(4), 6-4. "It was a very tough match. Anna was losing 1-4 in the second set but she won five games after that and she won the whole match. If she will play like in the end of the match, she has a chance to win this tournament," said Miloslav Grolmus, who was in Milovice. And Anna did it! She won against Wojcikova in the semifinal 2-6, 6-3, 6-1. EMPIRE Tennis Academy member also beat Kostyuk from Ukraine then (6-3, 6-3), so the singles title belongs to Laguza.
Laguza was partnering Kostyuk in doubles and they fought their way to the semifinal where they lost to Sebestova/Wojcikova 2-6, 4-6.
