Viktor Banczi was participating after his success and win in doubles at the Jugend Cup at another international tournament, this time in Budapest. The member of the EMPIRE Tennis Club played at the Hungaro Casing Cup and has lost in the singles final.

Viktor Banczi was seeded No. 3 at the U14 tournament (category 2, Tennis Europe) and has received a bye in the first round. He has beaten Dominik Meszaros of Hungary 6-2, 7-5 in the second round. Then he has scored a victory over Ukrainian player Denis Parshutin 6-1, 6-2. On August 28, he was successful again against Czech Robert Steinhauser in the quarterfinal: 7-5, 7-6 (7). „I played active and I handled the decisive moments better. I know my semifinal opponent from Romania; I have won against him once and lost once. His game quite suits me, he is more of a defensive player," said Banczi for tcempire.sk website.

Banczi has won against Gabriel Dicao 6-2, 6-2. But in the final, he lost to number one seed Jack Draper of Great Britain 2-6, 2-6. „I was very nervous. I couldn’t get up to speed before and during the match. I made a lot of mistakes and he was very fast, he caught every ball. That was important,” said Viktor about the final.

Viktor Banczi, who is coached at the EMPIRE Tennis Club by Juraj Jancovic, is No. 53 in the U14 Tennis Europe Junior Tour Rankings. But he is going to improve his position after this singles final in Budapest.
