EMPIRE Women’s Indoor tournament in couple of days, Acceptance List is published

For the first time, the TC EMPIRE Trnava club has decided to include the women's international indoor tournament EMPIRE Women’s Indoor (February 7 to 15, Prize Money 10, 000 USD) in the calendar of the events for 2015. It will be played on the new surface Plexipave Plexicushion Prestige that you can find at the Australian Open tennis tournament.

This the time when organizers are preparing banners, leaflets and the tournament bulletin for fans and players. All the matches will be played on the three new courts in the EMPIRE hall. Qualifying matches are planned to be played from 09.00 AM, main draws matches are scheduled from 11.00 AM. Dunlop Fort All Court (Type 2) ball is the official ball of the EMPIRE Women’s Indoor tournament.

"We want to test the new surface, but in particular we are interested in giving a chance to our young talented players who can earn ranking points in the WTA rankings. The time of the tournament we've picked out with consideration to other tournaments in the area because we're interested in good players in the draw. The month of February came as an ideal. It's still a period when most of the events are played on the hard surface," said Oto Majba, the tournament director.


You are all invited to see talented players on the courts of the TC EMPIRE Trnava club from February 7, 2015.

There are 18 players in the Acceptance List, 8 players will fight their way through qualifying, 4 will receive wild cards and two special exempt.
