The philosophy of the club TC EMPIRE Trnava is to establish a permanent and top-class team of trainers comprising of renowned trainers. The main priority of the club is to ensure the maintenance of a high-grade training regime under the supervision of well experienced trainers for all age and performance categories from amateur to professional players. Trainers' team consists of five tennis trainers, two fitness conditioning trainers and a physiotherapist. We provide a training regime for more than 200 players.

Major tennis achievements:

- Repeateding Slovak champion

- European champion until 14 in the singles and  European champion until 16 in the doubles

- He was placed in the ITF ranking top 20 until 18

- He won Satelit Masters competition in Bulgary ( Sofia ) and he reached his highest ATP ranking ever ( he was ranked 530 )

- He finished his career as a player because of his arm problems, that has lasted a long time

- Then he became a tennis coach    

Major coaching achievements:

- He trained Martin Durdík for 1,5 of year who became a Slovak champion until 18 under his supervision

- A head coach of the Professional tennis centre

- He was a private coach of Filip Horanský for 6 years.When Filip finished the season in 2011 he was ranked eight greatest junior player in the world

- Filip was ranked 500 in the ATP ranking at the end og their cooperation

- Now he is coaching Jozef Kovalík ( a Slovak tennis player ), who qualifield in ATP world ranking from 333 position to the 230 position

- He brought boys under 18 to get silver medals in the Slovak team competition

 

 René Hanák

Education:

  • speaks fluently English, Russian and Greek 

 

Major coaching achievements:

 

  • after ending his career, he moved from Prerov to Ostrava
  • in Moravia, he coached Adam Vejmelka, who is as old as Tomas Berdych and in August 2007, youngster worked his way up the rankings onto No. 247
  • joined Bltc tennis club in Brno
  • co-operation with famous coach Jan Kukal in Slovakia
  • he was coaching in TK Slovan Bratislava club
  • after his return to Ostrava, he decided to move abroad
  • in 2009, he became the chief coach of tennis city club in Heraklion, Greece
  • in 2015, he became the coach in the EMPIRE Tennis Academy situated in Trnava 

 

Major player's achievements:

  • he was recognised as one of the best Czechoslovak junior tennis players in late 80s
  • won the national singles and doubles titles in under 14 and 16 categories
  • played the singles final of the famous Pardubice Junior Cup and won the doubles title there
  • since 14, he was regularly selected for Czechoslovak national teams
  • participant at junior Roland Garros and US Open - in Paris he reached the quarterfinals of doubles together with Pavel Gazda
  • in his junior times he beat such opponents like Russian Kafelnikov or Italian Gaudenzi
  • ATP career-high No. 349 in singles and No. 243 in doubles
  • in July 1996, he was sparring partner of Slovakian Davis Cup team when Slovakia won the match against Portugal 5-0, with Karol Kucera & Jan Kroslak, led by captain Miloslav Mecir, who was the one to invite Hanak practice with the team
  • his most valuable wins amongst men is triumph against German Rainer Schuttler (Australian Open 2003 finalist) in the 1st qualifying round of ATP event in Ostrava (1997)
  • in 1998, he won twice in the final of Umag’s satellite against Radek Stepanek, who was 19 at that time; they often used to play doubles together
  • he used to play doubles also with a former coach of Berdych, Tomas Krupa, with Karol Kucera, Branislav Galik and Igor Zelenay
  • won many doubles titles at satellites

 

Monika Kupková

  • Repeatedly Slovak Champion in doubles in youth categories
  • Finalist of the Slovak women hall Championship
  • Member of the Slovak national team

 

Major coaching achievements:

  • Coached current junior tennis representative Sarah Mária Juráková and  member of the Youth Training Center Petra Široká
  • Currently working with Natália Schwarcová, who gained the third place in the class in 2011
  • Stanislav Valent and Tomáš Lánik under her supervision achieved excellent success in categories of children under 10 and they belong to the best players in their category
  • 3rd and 5th  place in the all-Slovak final of Kid´s Davis  Cup and Fed Cup in the year 2011

  

Pavol Valent

  • Playing in Handball League One  for the club Lokomotíva Trnava for 18 years

 

Major coaching achievements:

  • Worked as a senior trainer TSM for the handball club Lokomotíva Trnava
  • Worked as an assistant trainer of the representation of judo (Semir Pepic – OG Atlanta)
  • Coached the handball junior team  under 16  to the title of Slovak Champions
